Conversations
Your central hub for all customer chats. Filter by open, unread, or unassigned. Search conversations and reply from your phone or desktop. Each thread shows the customer name and lets you type messages, add emojis, or send forms.
Conversation Settings
Control how conversations start. Enable auto reply to send an automatic message when a new conversation begins. Require a form before chat so customers submit info first. Limit rules to specific days of the week.
Customers
View and manage everyone who has chatted with you. See Shopify customers and guests, with account info, personal details, and activity. Track when they were last contacted and when their account was created.
Forms
Collect important information from customers. Create forms with custom fields, set an initial message, and choose what to collect. Use forms as required at conversation start or send them during a chat. Organize with internal names and descriptions.
Staff
Add team members with Staff or Admin roles. Invite by email, set first and last name, and manage status (active or inactive). See who’s confirmed and who’s pending. Assign conversations and scale support as your store grows.
Widget Style
Choose how the chat button appears on your store: icon only, text only, or icon and text. Set button text (e.g. “Chat with us”, max 50 characters). Customize widget button colors and chat window colors—primary and secondary—to match your brand.
Metrics
Track what matters. View conversations (open and closed), unique customers, average response time, and staff response time. Filter by period (last 7, 30, or 60 days) or custom range. See time-series data for customers, conversations, and response times.
Notifications
Stay on top of customer inquiries. Get notified when a new conversation starts or when a customer sends a message. Choose email, browser push, or both. Set a notification schedule by day of week so you’re only alerted when you’re available.
